Brandon H Rosen
Lighting Designer
About Brandon H Rosen.
Brandon H Rosen is a mixture of different backgrounds. He is a Mexican-American/Jewish lighting designer originally from San Antonio, Texas, but grew up splitting his time between New Jersey and Texas. He has lived around the country from Washington DC to San Diego and loves to travel to see new sights and explore new cities.
He loves to work on projects featuring Latinx creative teams written by and for the Latinx population. His personal mission is to expose theatre to the Latinx community and to bring in more designers of color into his circle to provide opportunities that are not present elsewhere.
Most of his design credits are from San Diego companies such as The Old Globe and La Jolla Playhouse, but his work has also been seen in the New York area at JACK Brooklyn and The Public Theater (Under The Radar).
In addition to his design work, Brandon has been the Associate Lighting Designer for the Broadway revival of "The Who's Tommy" as well as "Thoughts of a Colored Man" and he also served as the Assistant Lighting Designer for Broadway's "Diana: The Musical" (as well as the Netflix Proshoot).
Much of Brandon's time is spent as the Associate Lighting Designer for Disney's "Aladdin" including the current 2nd national US Tour, Madrid Production, and the 2023-2024 UK Tour.
He is a proud member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and is a graduate from UC, San Diego's MFA Program in Theatrical Lighting Design. BFA from Texas State University.
